Gerald Scott Earling

Muncie – Gerald Scott Earling passed on October 12, 2021 at the age of 54.
Scott is survived by his mother, Nancy Barrett (Brammer); his daughter, Autumn Best (Dustin Nickell); his brothers, Bill Earling(Tammy Earling), Travis Barrett(Wendi Barrett); his grandmother Mary Loy; his granddaughters, Aria and Trinity Nickell; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is predeceased by his father, Karl Earling; his brother, Jeff Earling; his grandfather, Joe Brammer; and grandparents, Doris and Gerald Earling.
Scott was born in Illinois on July 7th, 1967 to Nancy Brammer (Barrett) and Karl Earling. He attended Homestead High School (Ft. Wayne), and Muncie Central. He drove a semi and was a jack of all trades, who loved working with his hands.
Scott was a loving and caring father, son, brother, grandpa, and so much more. He was a very loyal friend, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Spending time outside, especially around a campfire was a favorite pastime. He was very hardworking and could build and repair just about anything. When he wasn't working you could find him boating, fishing, swimming, or cruising on his Gator. Scott was also known as Jolly, because he was just that. He attended church at The Jar. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Services will be 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Burial will take place on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, north of Muncie.
Family and friends may call from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the mortuary.
