Funeral Services for Gerald Francis Edwards, 90, will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Bienhoff Funeral Home in Laddonia with pastor Chris Atkinson officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Laddonia Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Edwards passed away at 12:39 PM Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi.
Gerald was born June 19, 1934 in Farber, Missouri the son of Francis M. and Alta Retha Thompson Edwards.
Survivors include; one son; Tim (Cheri) Edwards of Independence, step son; Richard Adams of Florida, brother; Eugene Edwards of Seattle, WA, eight grandchildren; Cori Edwards, Thomas Edwards, Andrew Edwards, Eziekel Armstrong, Dustin Wolgamott, Shayna Snider, Donovan Adams, and Christina Neverett, numerous great grandchildren along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter; Rebecca Snider, step son Bobby Adams, and sister Faye Ciocca.
Gerald graduated in 1952 from William Chrisman High School and would then serve his country honorably in the United States Navy. He would work for many years until his retirement as a shipping clerk for Puritan Bennett. Gerald was devout Christian by faith attending many churches throughout his life. He greatly enjoyed music and was an avid musician playing guitar, piano, harmonica, and fiddle. He will be greatly missed by many.
