Obituary of Gerald S. Fullagar

Gerald S. "Jerry" Fullagar, age, 88, of Penn Yan, NY passed away of natural causes on Saturday, November 22, 2025. Jerry was born in Penn Yan, NY on August 6, 1937, to the late Herbert and Marie Fullager.

He was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Shirley Ann (Morrison) Fullagar; and by his siblings, Bob, Bernard, Bruce, Doug, Pat and Barbara. He is survived by his sons, Timothy Fullagar of Johnson City, TN and Stephen (Dawn) Fullagar of Newark, NY; daughter, Susan (Fullagar) Clark of Penn Yan, NY; former daughter-in-law, Dawn Fullagar of Charlotte, NC; along with 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jerry graduated from Penn Yan Academy with the Class of 1955. He entered into the US Army in January 1957 and served through June 1958, and remained in the Army Reserve from 1958-1962. He completed his coursework at the Nashville Auto-Deisel College in 1960, and then went on to work in production at Eastman-Kodak, retiring in 1991 after 28 years of dedicated service to the company. Following retirement, he became a part-time school bus driver for the Penn Yan School District for another 17 years. He found great joy in transporting athletic teams to and from their events, valuing the relationships he built with players and coaches alike. Special memories included driving the Penn Yan Lacrosse teams during their hugely successful seasons across the Empire State, as well as his time spent with Mennonite children and their families, whom he had great fondness and admiration for.

He was a longtime private pilot and was very active in the Penn Yan Flying Club, where he also served as Treasurer for a number of years. Jerry was also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Penn Yan. Prior to Shirley's passing, they travelled extensively throughout the continental United States, as well as Alaska and Hawaii. Their adventures together also took them to Mexico, Panama, the Caribbean, England and France. And last, but certainly not least, he was a hardcore Buffalo Bills fan. He will truly be missed.

There will be no services at this time. He will be laid to rest at Second Milo Cemetery.
