Gerald "Jerry" Wayne Gassen, age 88, of Columbia, Missouri passed away on January 23, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was born on October 22, 1936 in Higginsville, Missouri; a son of Frank and Alice (Wisely) Gassen. He was united in marriage to Ida Mae Ciro on September 26, 1964.
He graduated from Glennon Catholic School in Kansas City, Missouri in 1954. Jerry worked for Bendix as a Manufacturing Supervisor. He worked there through one name change to Allied Signal, and after 32 years he retired from his supervisory roll.
He was a foodie, and he loved going out to eat. He also enjoyed music, woodworking and was an avid reader of historical fictions and mysteries.
