Reflections Of The Life Stacey Darlene Edwards-Webb
Sunrise: May 19, 1964
Sunset: September 18, 2025
During the early morning hours of September 18, 2025, Stacey was called by God to join his Heavenly Choir. Stacey took His hand and entered into a peaceful rest that only God could offer as she ascended into Heaven and joined His Heavenly Choir.
Stacey Darlene Edwards was born on May 19, 1964 to Dorothy Jean Edwards. She was the second child of five children.
Stacey graduated high school in 1982. Stacey was so excited about marching in the 2025 Black and White Ball Parade with the class of 1982 - she had a ball as her name was called throughout the parade route. Stacey worked in the customer service industry throughout her professional career. She made everyone she encountered feel like an old friend as she perfected the recipes of several area fast food restaurants, making them her signature come back recipes. Stacey became the family babysitter for her nieces, nephews, and cousins. To this day her nieces, nephews, and cousins speak about her crispy cheeseburgers and her homemade pizzas all made with an abundance of love. Stacey also made the best Christmas treats, her speciality being crispy treat cornflake wreaths that were topped with red hot candies. Stacey had a nickname for all of her family members. She never called them by their given names she did call them some names, however, we won't mention that.
Stacey had a very giving heart by nature and shared a lot of what she had been blessed to receive with various people in her community, from the homeless people around her neighborhood whom she addressed by name as she never met a stranger, to the new neighbors that moved into her apartment complex. Some of those new neighbors could not speak English, but they recognized the kindness that Stacey had in heart. No one ever went hungry or without anything around Stacey.
Stacey has always sucked her two middle fingers, while sucking them she would grab a hold of someone's ear, twisting and turning it. Everyone she loved got their ears twisted and turned, as it was her unspoken love language.
Stacey sang in the local talent shows as a teenager. She always sang whenever she was asked to do so, using her gift of song to uplift others around her in their time of need. No one could sing "Inseparable" like she could at a wedding or "Going Up Yonder" at a Home Going service. She would close her eyes, singing with her whole heart and it would become a concert!
Stacey lifted her voice in praise to our Heavenly Father each and every day. She would forward songs of inspiration to her family and friends, sharing her joy and love of God with the world around her.
Stacey always had an awesome and beautiful relationship with the Lord, She let any and everyone know that nothing or no one could come between "me" and "my God!"
Stacey was baptized as a child at Russell Chapel CME Church in
Columbia, Missouri. As an adult, Stacey was an active member of Allen St. John AME Church in Kansas City, Missouri where she sang in the choir.
