Gerald Harrelson Obituary
Memorial service will be held at 6:30 pm on Friday, February 23, 2024 at First Church of the Nazarene, 722 North Jones Avenue, Rock Hill, with Reverend John Sadler officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 5:30 pm until 6:15 pm on Friday prior to the service at the church.
Born in Georgetown, SC, Mr. Harrelson was the son of the late Joseph Leroy Harrelson and the late Ruby Rogers Harrelson. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Joseph R Harrelson. He was retired from Bowater Carolia Corporation with 39 years of service.
Mr. Harrelson is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dianne Cooper Harrelson; two daughters, Alicia Harrelson (Steven) Church of Georgetown, SC, Heather Harrelson of Charlotte, NC; his grandson, Thomas Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Gerald Harrelson's name to Humane Society of York County, 8177 Regent Parkway, Ste 103, Ft Mill, SC 29715.

My first memory of Gerry is from early in my childhood as he and his lovely wife Diana were like family to me. Our families would often vacation together. I remember us at the beach. Most of my happy memories from childhood were spending time with Gerry Diane and Heather after she was born.
