Gerald A. Houser

Gerald A. Houser, 84, of Hershey, died Sunday, June 2, 2024, at his residence.
He was the husband of Maxine G. (Brown) Houser, to whom he married on June 19, 1994.
Born in Philadelphia, on June 19, 1939, he was a son of the late Earl and Edna (Reber) Houser.
He was employed as a chef and maintenance at Country Meadows Retirement Communities. Gerald also worked in his dad's garage and owned a construction company. He enjoyed woodworking and cooking.
Gerald is survived by three daughters, Katherine LaProd, Deborah Holly, Carol Ann Bowen; a son,Allen Dean Houser; step children, Mary (Dean) Nester, Troy Reed; grandchildren, Jeremy, Justine, Ariel, Zachary; step grandchildren, Cheyenne, fiance of Michael Bagenstose, Dakota (Anna), Richard, Hannah; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Houser; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a step son, James Reed.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Grose Funeral Home, Inc., 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown. Inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family.
