Gerald D Irwin

Gerald D. Irwin, 84, of Jeannette, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 31, 2026. He was born on October 1, 1941, in Greensburg, the son of the late Donald and Jean (Wolfe) Irwin.

In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia, and his eldest daughter, Pamela Irwin.

Gerald will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his wife, Phyllis (Schake- Baughman); his daughter, Deborah (Anthony) Barber; his brother, Dennis (Pat) Irwin; his grandchildren, Alexander (Faith) Barber and Lauren (Caleb) Schwartz; and his nephew, Matthew (Karen) Irwin and many cousins.

Gerald owned and operated his chiropractic practice for more than 40 years, a career he took great pride in. He was a 1959 graduate of Hempfield Area High School and a devoted lifetime member of Jeannette Assembly of God. He was in the Masons and the Gideons. Most of all, Gerald treasured time with his family, especially the many special trips to Disney they shared over the years.

Family and friends will be received from 2–4 p.m. and 6–8 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Vaia Funeral Home, Inc., 463 Athena Drive, Delmont (724-468-1177). Additional viewing will be from 9-10a.m service will follow on Friday, February 13, 2026. Burial will follow at Twin Valley Memorial Park, Inc.
