Gerald Joosten, age 75, of Rudolph, WI passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Edenbrook Nursing Home in Wisconsin Rapids.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at St. Philip Catholic Church in Rudolph, WI. Rev. Barry Saylor will officiate the service. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at the church. Burial rites will be held following the funeral mass at All Souls Cemetery in Rudolph, WI.

Gerald was born on July 15, 1950 to Raymond and Margaret (Pongratz) Joosten. He married Jill Jadack on October 19, 1985 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Professionally, Gerald worked as a laborer for Joern's for many years, retiring in June of 2012. He also worked for Ampe Feed Mill. Gerald was a proud and dedicated public servant, he was a member of the Rudolph Fire Department for 42 years. In his spare time, Gerald enjoyed deer hunting, spending time up north four-wheeling with his friend Mark, and watching the Green Bay Packers.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Jill; siblings, Wayne (Kris) Joosten, Konnie (Richard) Schmdit, Ron (Emma) Joosten, Lynn (Clarence Kitowski) Ostrowski, Kay (Steve) Zimmerman, Sally (Bob) Kilps; brothers and sisters-in law, Jackie Jadack, Jerry (Debbie) Jadack, and Jay (Karen) Jadack; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Gerald was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Margaret Joosten; step-father, Jesse Joosten; father and mother-in-law, Maurice and Berdell Jadack, sister, JoAnn Hetze; brother-in-law, Don Ostrowski; nephews, Jesse Ostrowski and Justin Kissinger; and maternal and paternal grandparents.

The family would like to thank Pastor Roser and Father Barry Saylor for their visits, as well as the care team at Aspirus Hospital, Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospices Services and Edenbrook for their compassionate care.
