Gerald Allan "Gerry" Kison, age 79, formerly of Miles City.

March 5, 1946 – January 3, 2026

Gerald Allan Kison "Gerry" passed away on January 3, 2026 after a lengthy illness.

Gerry was born in Miles City, MT on March 5, 1946. He attended grade School in Kircher, graduated from Custer County High School in 1963. He attended Miles Community College and married JoAnn Martin in Miles City in 1967. Gerry spent his military service stationed at Ft Gordon, GA and at Prum Hill, Germany, and returned to Miles City in 1970 after being honorably discharged from the Army.

Gerry owned Custer County Auto Dismantlers with Lee Houston in Miles City and later moved to East Helena. Gerry later married Gail Skeel in 1991.

Gerry was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Gerry also loved drag racing, riding his motorcycle and cruising in his Corvette. Gerry spent many hours on the water with his family water skiing or on his pontoon boat.

Gerry was infamous for always knowing someone everywhere and never forgetting anyone he ever met.

Gerry is survived by his wife Gail of East Helena, his children Kimberly (Michael) Becker of Ault CO, Kole Kison of Loveland CO, Kollette (Gary) Rightsell of Wellington CO, Megan (Eric) Schaible of Billings, MT, and Beth Skeel of East Helena MT; grandchildren Ryan, Kaitlyn, Harlee, Celeste, Ryder, Brooklyn, and Kaleb; great-grandchildren Liam, Everly, London, Paris and Aspen. Gerry is also survived by his brother Dale Kison (JoAnn) of St. Regis, MT and sister Karma Johnson (Jack) of Rock Springs, WY.

The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to Gerry's long-time hunting buddy and best friend, Tom Maguire of Great Falls, MT.
