Gerald "Gerry" Kortick, 85, of Ring Avenue, Warwick, passed away with his loving family by his side on Thursday, December 25, 2025, at the West Shore Health Center in Warwick. He was the beloved husband of 48 years to Carole N. (Nava) Kortick.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Harry and Pauline (Lisnoff) Kortick.

Gerry was a devoted family man whose life was defined by service, hard work, and unwavering support for those he loved. He graduated from Deering High School in West Warwick and, shortly thereafter, enlisted in the United States Navy, proudly serving his country. Following his military service, Gerry dedicated 40 years of his professional life to Electric Boat in Groton, where he was respected for his strong work ethic and commitment. Outside of work, he found great joy in Friday nights spent cheering on the Providence Bruins and could always be found in the stands for his grandsons' sporting events-never missing an opportunity to support them. Gerry's loyalty, dedication, and willingness to help others will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Ann Palumbo and her significant other Jerry Colvin of Warwick, Gregory Kortick and his wife Danielle of West Warwick and Lori Atturio of Warwick; a sister, Deborah Demby and her husband Steven of Parkland, Florida and 4 grandchildren, Andrew, Joey, Kyle and Quinn. He was predeceased by his twin brother Arnold Kortick and brother Michael Kortick.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Barrett and Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, RI, followed by a Funeral Service and Military Honors at 12:30 p.m. Burial will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gerry's name to Make-A-Wish Foundation of Massachusetts and Rhode Island at 1 State Street #501, Providence, RI 02908 would be appreciated.
