He served two years in the Army and came home to work for, and eventually own and operate the family business – Latham Auto Body in Neenah, which was started by his father in 1933. He retired in 1995 and enjoyed spending time at the cottage on Pickerel Lake with family. He and his son Tom always had a project to work on. He was also a Life Member of the Kaukauna Elks.
Jerry is survived by his wife Margaret, son Tom (Kaonou), grandchildren Ethan and Aleah, sister-in-law Rosemary Stingle and several nieces and nephews.

Military honors will be held by the Neenah-Menasha Funeral Honors Team following services at Appleton Highland Memorial Park Cemetery where Jerry will be interred. Lunch will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will be used to support the St. Gabriel School expansion.
The family would like to thank Dr. Shannon Schmidt and her team for helping Jerry to get through many years with cancer. The family would also like to thank the whole team at Copperstone Assisted Living in Neenah for the loving care that they have provided for both Jerry and Margaret.
