Gerald Locklear, 83, of Charlotte, NC passed away March 14, 2025.
Gerald was born in Pembroke, NC on August 14, 1941 to the late Willie Blanche and Effie Lee.
Along with his parents, Gerald is preceded in death by Dorsey, Harold Fay, Theodore, Mr. Willie B., Carey, & Mrs. Mary Ethel.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Argie; his brothers and sisters: Mitchell (Pattie), Arnold, Chris (Kimberly), Cynthia Hunt (Rynold), and Melba-Laue; his children: Ingrid, Eric, and Derek; his grandchildren: Destiny, Chasity (Brandon), Quinton, Aidan, and Aubrey; & his great-grandchildren: Kaydince, Hendrixx, Oaklynn, and Briella.
Gerald was a man of faith who loved his family deeply. He was an enthusiastic sports fanatic that bled Tarheel blue. Gerald was a diligent worker who gave BASF 30 years.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at 3:00 PM in the chapel at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 PM.
