Gerald Naylor Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home - Turtle Creek on Dec. 9, 2025.
Of North Huntingdon, age 89, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, December 8, 2025.

Born the son of the late Joseph Percy Naylor and the late Alice (Manion) Naylor.

Beloved husband of Rose Marie (DeShantz) Naylor for 35 wonderful years.

Loving father of Sean Naylor (the late Tricia Kreitzer) Naylor and the late David Naylor. Stepfather of David Baird, Doug (Lisa) Baird, Dwight (Jody) Baird, and the late Danny Baird.

Dear grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Adored brother of Daniel (Sue) Naylor.

Preceded in death by his sisters, Nan (surviving spouse, Lou) Renda, Theresa Mignogna, Carolyn (late Buv) Seibel and Regina Naylor; and his brothers, Bill (surviving spouse, Diana) Naylor, Arthur Naylor, Fr. Ron Naylor, Charles Naylor, Michael Naylor and Joseph Naylor.

Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Jerry was proud to have been born and raised in the town of Turtle Creek and was a 1954 graduate of Turtle Creek High School. He then honorably served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. Following his discharge from the Army, through the G.I. Bill, Jerry enrolled in the Pittsburgh Art Institute.

Jerry was employed with Mesta Machine for over 24 years until the closure of the business. He then relocated to Cleaveland Price in Trafford, and eventually Brickmont in Southpointe, where he continued his work as a design craftsman. He was also employed with Home Depot for 10 years, specializing in the designing of home kitchens.

One of Jerry's passions was expressing his emotions through singing. He was a skilled tenor and a member of the Irwin Male Chorus for over 30 years. Jerry also had a knack for craftsmanship. He was a talented artist who produced sketches, paintings, designs, several of which were published in books. Some of Jerry's most fond memories were those from his childhood home, where he learned how to dance from his siblings.

Friends are welcome on Wednesday from 2-7 p.m. at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, PA 15145, (412) 823-9350.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.

Jerry will be laid to rest privately in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
