Of Monroeville, age 68, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

Jim was the beloved husband of Diane (McNamara) Pici McMahon for 24 years.

He was the loving stepfather of Anthony (Katherine) Pici of McCandless, Joseph Pici and Christopher Pici, both of Monroeville.

Jim was the cherished GrandDad of Anthony, Jr. and Brooks Pici.

He was the brother of Tina (John) Allman of Blairsville, Grace (David) Barry of Jefferson Hills, Patrick (Jan) McMahon of North Versailles and Tara (Tim Otto) McMahon of White Oak.

Jim is also survived by nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents James and E. Rita (Conahan) McMahon.

Jim was a 1977 graduate of St. Thomas High School in Braddock. For 43 years Jim was employed in the maintenance department with the Western PA. School for the Deaf in Edgewood.

Jim was known for his passionate interest in steam engine trains and trolleys. He loved trolleys so much that he volunteered with the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum in Washington, PA and drove the trolleys for the visitors to take a ride.

Jim enjoyed being one of those passengers on the visits he made to Steam Engine train sites.

All are welcome on Sunday from 3-7pm at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, PA 15145, (412) 823-9350.

Mass of Christian Burial in St. Maurice Church (St. Joseph the Worker Parish) on Monday at 10 a.m.

Jim will be laid to rest in Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
