Gerald J. "Jerry" Peden

Gerald Joseph Peden passed away on March 29, 2023 at the age of 87. He was predeceased by his parents, Eileen and William B. Peden, and his brother, Billy.
Born, December 18, 1935 in Bronx, NY Jerry graduated from Cardinal Hayes High School and served his country honorably as a Marine from 1953-1956 during the Korean War. After his service, he pursued his education and received a BA in Accounting and Economics from St. Anselm College in Manchester, NH.
Jerry married Mary (Seirmarco) Peden, at St. Ann's Church in Nyack, NY. Jerry was an active member of the community, serving as Grand Knight of the Joyce Kilmer Council 1177 of the Knights of Columbus Council in Suffern, and also as District Deputy for the Hudson Valley Chapter.
Jerry is survived by his four children, Gerald W and Maggie Peden, Eileen and Jim Surovich, Mary Jo and Kenny Christensen, and Andrew and Natalia Peden. He was a proud grandfather to eleven grandchildren: Caitlin, JP, and Matthew Surovich; Sadie, Luke, and Cece Peden; Connor and Katie Christensen; and Ashley, Emily, and AJ Peden. He cherished spending time with his family at the Jersey Shore, Cape Cod, and in the backyard pool.
After retiring, Jerry enjoyed golfing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was often seen "traveling to Scotland" each night in his armchair.
