Gerald John Pinzari

Barrington, NH: Gerald "Jerry" John Pinzari, 84, of Franklin Pierce Highway, passed from this

earthly world on August 21st, 2025, at home with his family at his side, after a valiant battle

against prostate cancer.

He was born on July 7, 1941, in Quincy, MA; the son of WWII vet Olympio J and Edna M (Grace)

Pinzari.

His formative years were spent in Quincy, but he had many fond memories of times spent and

life lessons learned, with his grandparents on the farm in Tamworth, NH.

He graduated from The Franklin Institute of Technology in 1962, and began a career as a

contractor and project supervisor with Automatic Sprinkler, and later with Carlisle, and Capital

Fire Protection.

In June of 1962, Jerry married Priscilla Osgood and they celebrated sixty-three years of

marriage this year. They welcomed three children; Donna, Mark and Jack.

When the opportunity presented itself in 1969, Jerry moved the family to his beloved NH, and

settled in Barrington where he continued to live for the rest of his life.

Being the civic-minded person he was, he eagerly signed up to serve on the Barrington

Volunteer Fire Department, where he rose to position of lieutenant and later to captain prior to

leaving the force in 1998.

He was on the Town Hall Community Center Building Committee which was dedicated in 1972.

He was a founding member of the Advisory Budget Committee after suggesting its formation

at a 1975 town meeting. He served on the Planning Board from 1975 to 1980 and was planning

board chair in 1977. In addition, he served for many years on the town and school budget

committee. He also played men's softball for several seasons with Leoca.

Throughout the majority of his years in Barrington, Jerry was a season ticket holder for UNH

men's hockey and attended those games with his best friend George Calef, right up to last

season. He and George also attended Car Club at Kelly's Row on Wednesday afternoons for

the last several years. Jerry also spent many a Saturday evening with his gang at Millo's, and

especially enjoyed the company of friends Brent and Tina, and bartender Kat.

Jerry is survived by his wife Priscilla (Osgood) Pinzari, daughter Donna (Pinzari) Pelletier and

husband Marcel of Rochester, son Jack Pinzari and wife Janice (Krawczyk) Pinzari of

Brentwood, brothers Stephen Pinzari and wife Rebecca, and James Pinzari and wife Janet.

He was the proud "Grampa" of Stephanie (Pelletier) Blauvelt and husband Zack, Olivia Pelletier

and partner Andrew Doucett, and Alison (Pelletier) Santosuosso and husband Anthony, and

several nieces and nephews.

He also treasured his time with great granddaughter Maya, and great grandson Calder Blauvelt.

We are sure he is spending time with great granddaughter Merritt prior to her anticipated arrival

in a month or so.

He is predeceased by his parents Olympio and Edna Pinzari, son Mark Pinzari, and great

granddaughter Callie Ann Blauvelt.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. To sign our online guestbook, please go to www.purdyfuneralservice.com

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Jerry's name to Wentworth Home
