Gerald (Jerry) Frederick Reardon Jr., age 94, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026, at Golden Pond in Massachusetts.

Jerry was born on June 2, 1931, in Binghamton, New York, the son of the late Gerald and Margaret Reardon. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy during the Korean War. Following his service, he graduated from Harpur College in 1958.

Jerry married his college sweetheart, Jackie Reardon, and together they shared nearly 55 wonderful years of marriage, building a life filled with love, laughter, and lasting friendships. Through his career of more than 30 years with IBM, Jerry embraced every opportunity for growth, relocating his family from New York to Ohio, New Jersey, Florida, and Massachusetts along the way.

Family was at the heart of everything Jerry did. He was a devoted and loving father to his four children: Colleen, Jerry, Brenda, and Denise. He was also an incredibly proud grandfather to his eleven grandchildren-Jennifer, Christopher, Meghan, Kathryn, Kelly, Josh, Shannon, Taylor, Emily, Ashley, and Nicole-and a proud great-grandfather to his seventeen great-grandchildren, whose growing family brought him so much joy.

While Jerry lived in many places, Binghamton always remained home in his heart. He treasured time spent with his beloved sisters, MaryEllen and Shirley, and with his many nieces and nephews, all of whom adored "Uncle Jerry." Known by many nicknames-"Pizza Guy," "Irish King," and "Poppa"-Jerry had a gift for bringing joy to every gathering.

He loved tennis and golf and especially enjoyed his retirement years with his wife at Venice Golf & Country Club, where their home became a gathering place for family and friends to share in that joy. He also cherished his many trips to Ireland with family. One of his favorite traditions was spending the Fourth of July at The Pond in Vestal, New York, surrounded by family, laughter, bonfires, and lifelong memories.

Jerry was a man of deep faith and strong routines. He was dedicated to his daily walks-rain or shine-continuing them faithfully until he no longer could. He lived his life guided by a belief in the power of attitude, inspired by the words of Charles Swindoll. Even in his final days, caregivers often remarked on his warm smile and unwavering positivity-traits that defined him and left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Jerry is survived by his loving children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as his sisters-in-law, Phyllis and Sharon. He is reunited in peace with his beloved wife, Jackie; his sisters, MaryEllen and Shirley; his parents; and many cherished friends and family members.

Jerry will be remembered for his warm smile, his joyful spirit, and his belief that attitude is everything in life-a legacy that will continue to guide his family for generations.

A Funeral Mass will be offered at the St. Augustine's Church, Church Road, Silver Lake, PA, Saturday April 11, 2026 at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.
