Gerald Irvin Reeves, 70, of Summerville, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Saturday, February 11, 2023. His memorial service will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 2:00 pm, in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. NORTHWOODS Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Rd., North Charleston, SC 29406. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.
Jerry was born September 27, 1952 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Ronald Legare Reeves and Doris Goff Reeves. He served his country in the United States Army and prior to his retirement, Jerry worked as a machinist at the Naval Weapons Station in North Charleston. He was an avid hunter of deer, squirrel and birds and also loved to fish. He was very proud of his cooking skills and made the "World's Best Hushpuppies" and could make just about anything taste good in a pirlou. He was also a member of the Centerpoint Church @ Remount (formerly Remount Baptist Church).
He is survived by Adam R. Reeves and his wife, Kristie of Cordesville, SC and Johnathan Kolb; two grandchildren, Easton and Colten Reeves; two step-grandchildren, Jillian and Braxsten Greenwood; four siblings, Lynn Cotrano (Tony), Melody Hutson, Darrell Reeves, Gene Reeves (Jill) and Phillip Reeves (Jonie); several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Flowers will be accepted, or a donation in Jerry's name may be made to the Centerpoint Church @ Remount, 1520 Remount Rd., North Charleston, 29406.

Jerry sure taught me a lot about hunting and fishing. I was lucky to be there for his successful two day hunt in December, despite his weakened condition. Jerry never quit.
