Gerald (Jerry)Rue Jerry left to be with the Lord on February 24, 2026. Jerry was born in Wadsworth, Ohio on July 3rd, 1942. He later became a proud Air Force Veteran stationed in Columbus, Ohio at Rickenbacker Air Force Base . He was employed with Battelle in Columbus. Then became employed for 16 years as security officer in The Verne Riffe Center in downtown Columbus where he never missed a day of employment . Jerry spent his time collecting guns, bowling, golfing and spending time with his daughter and son at the casino. Jerry also loved spending time with his family especially his great-grandchildren. He's preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Margaret Rue, Sister in Law Phyllis Rue, Nephew Steven Rue, Brother in Law Merlin Peterson, and Barb Petty. He leaves behind Daughter Tracy (John) Mangia, Son Tony (Alicia) Rue. Very special Grandchildren Priscilla Mangia (Brooks Artinger) Alexa (Wilson) Blosser Nick Mangia and Megan Bullock. Along with Great Grandchildren Adalynn, Mason, and Cameron Blosser. He is also survived by his siblings Gene Rue, Linda Peterson and Tim Rue (Patty) along with many nieces, nephews and close friends. Jerry will be remembered for his devotion of his love for his family and a lasting impact he made on those who knew him. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
