Gerald Russell Obituary
Born April 27, 1947, in Bellefonte, Pa., the son of Barbara (Fetterolf) and Gerald L. Russell Sr., Gerald earned a bachelor's degree in political science from University of Illinois-Chicago. He was a store manager at Edgewater Market grocery store in Chicago for more than 20 years.
Gerald enjoyed golfing and watching sports on TV. He was very proud of his kids and grandkids and he loved going to his grandkids' events and sports. Gerald was passionate about the interests he cared about.
Gerald is survived by his children, Michael (Teresa) Russell and Jennifer Dynek; grandchildren, Daniel, Taylor and Justin Russell, and Alexander and Dakota Dynek; and sisters, Linda Miquelon and Cindy Carlson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents.
The family extends special thanks to his neighbors, Joe and Heather Achello.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in his name to Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital Cancer Center, DeKalb.
Celebration of life will be held later in April.
Private family interment will be at Lakewood Memorial Park in Elgin.
