Gerald D. Seidel, age 86, of Woodruff, WI, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025. Born on August 18, 1939, in Abbotsford, WI, he was the son of the late Oscar and Wilma (Duellman) Seidel.
Jerry grew up in Abbotsford and graduated from Abbotsford High School. On June 11, 1960, he married the love of his life, Sally Ann Erl. Together, they built a life filled with devotion, laughter, and shared adventures.
Jerry was proud to serve with the Wisconsin State Patrol. After his time in law enforcement, he continued as a hardworking entrepreneur opening various businesses including Tomahawk Flooring and Decorating, E-Z Route, in addition to others. He spent several years in Arizona and Colorado, recently moving to Woodruff where he was the owner of Hiawatha Mobile Home Estates. A man with a love for the outdoors, Gerald relished time spent hunting, fishing, and golfing. He was also an avid Green Bay Packer fan, cheering enthusiastically through every season. Above all, his greatest joy was his family, whom he cherished deeply.
Survivors include his wife of over 65 years, Sally Seidel, of Woodruff, WI; his son, Todd (Renee) Seidel, of Woodruff, WI; his daughter, Tracy Seidel, of Rio Verde, AZ; his grandchildren, Kyle Seidel, of Green Bay, WI, Briana (Jason) Kemp, of Little Canada, MN, Troy (Michele) Salewske, of Scottsdale, AZ, Taylor (Sean) Pena, of Westcliffe, CO; his great-grandchildren, Ryder and Ricki Ann Pena; and his sister, Shirley Sheeler, of Cazenovia, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Wilma; his son, Troy Seidel; his brothers, James Seidel and Kenneth Seidel; and his sisters, Ella Brill and Marion Blahnik.
In accordance with Jerry's wishes, no formal services will be held. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.
