Gerald "Tony" Slaughter

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. Tony and I spoke a few times on Facebook asking how we each were doing. He will truly be missed! He was a great guy from high school in our class of 1961!

To the family, wish we could be there. Love and prayers for you in this time of sorrow. Tony was and always will be my hero. When we were very young, he carried me over a very large anthill covered in red ants. Love you all and thinking of you. It is hard to think of a world without Tony being there.

In memory of and in gratitude for his honorable military service in Vietnam. May God bless him and welcome him home. Peace be with his family and friends

Tony was special. He was president of our senior class in 1961. Always a gentleman, everybody looked up to Tony, not only because he was very tall. He will be missed by many. Mitsie Amox Wailes.
