Mr. Gerald David Thomas Sr.

Gerald D. Thomas Sr. age 83 years of Pittsgrove went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday January 27, 2026 in Inspira Hospital, Vineland surrounded by his family. He was born in Woodbury to the late Alward and Florence Thomas and was raised in Swedesboro where he graduated from Swedesboro High School in 1962. After graduation he served four years in the United States Navy. Jerry retired as a supervisor with over 30 years of service with Exxon Mobil Lube Plant, Paulsboro. After retirement he continued to work as a driver for Rossi Honda in Vineland.

He was a devoted Christian and member of True North Church in Richwood. He enjoyed playing golf, line dancing, gardening, was an avid Phillies, Eagles and Nascar fan. Jerry could often be found on his John Deere tractor mowing his lawn and always had wintergreen mints in his pocket.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Shirley Thomas (nee Rivell) of Pittsgrove; his sons, Jerry Jr. (AnnMarie), Doug (Karen), Mark (Maggie); his grandchildren, Jerry(JT), Brian, Taylor, Kirsten, Doug Jr., Brittany, Kimberly, Adan and Natalia; his great grandchildren, Layla, Max, Colton, Ricky, Henry, Peyton, Tegan, Sadie, June and Hope and his sweet dogs, Missy and Peanut. Jerry was predeceased by his son, David Thomas and his sister, Audrey Gray.
