Gerald H. Wensel

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gerald H. Wensel, a beloved husband, father, and friend. Jerry was born on March 22, 1955, in Canton, Ohio, and he departed this world peacefully due to natural causes on February 17, 2025.
A 1974 graduate of North Canton Hoover, Jerry dedicated his professional life to his vocation as an auto technician, where he was known for his exceptional skills and ability to repair and refurbish anything that came his way. His meticulous craftsmanship and unwavering work ethic earned him the respect of colleagues and customers alike.
Jerry cherished fishing trips to Canada, where he created unforgettable memories with family and friends. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life and valued the time spent with loved ones above all else.
He was preceded in death by his father Donald Wensel, mother Ellen Palmer, and brothers Tom and Bill Wensel. Jerry is survived by his wife of 28 years, Elizabeth Wensel, son Chris Wensel, daughter Stephanie Wensel, grandchildren Noah and Sadie, sister Sue Bradshaw, along with countless friends who were touched by his kindness and humor.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday February 27, 2025, at 11:00 am at Reed Funeral Home CANTON CHAPEL 705 Raff Rd SW Canton, OH with Pastor Nancy Conley officiating. Visitation Weds. Feb 26 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Wilderness Center, reflecting Gerald's love for nature and the great outdoors. Interment Warstler Cemetery.
