Gerald Wolf Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Owen Funeral Home - Dixie Highway on Jan. 23, 2026.
Gerald Ellis Wolf, 75, passed away on January 23, 2026. He was born on April 15, 1950, in Louisville, Kentucky to his late parents, Frances and William Wolf.

Gerald retired after many dedicated years with Kroger and embraced life with passion and personality. He found peace in fishing, joy in classic old western movies, and excitement in fast cars, especially Camaros. An avid gun collector, he also had a remarkable gift: an amazing voice that could sound just like Elvis, often bringing smiles and laughter to those around him. Gerald was a man of faith who believed in God and was proud of that faith throughout his life. Above all else, he was deeply family-oriented, known for being reliable, trustworthy, and steady. His big heart was filled with love, and that love will continue to live on in the family and friends who were blessed to know him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and companion, Darlet Griswold.

Gerald is lovingly remembered by his children, Tonya Banta (Todd) and Holly Mudd (Keith); grandchildren, Brandon Banta, Lily Banta, Evelyn Mudd, and Eli Mudd; brother, Robert Wolf (Mary); sisters, Sherry Bess and Charlotte Myers; and his best-friend, Mac Ross (Vicki).

His funeral services will be at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. The visitation will be on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from 2:00-8:00 PM, and his funeral service will be the next day starting at 12:30 PM. The burial will follow the funeral service going to Highland Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, please make all contributions to Hosparus of Louisville.
