Gerald Lloyd Wyrick, age 89, of Paris, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at his residence. A celebration of life is planned for 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 13, 2026, at McEvoy Funeral Home, with Bro. Alan Trull to officiate. A private family burial will be held at a later time.
Visitation with the family is scheduled on Friday, from 1:00 P.M. until time of service.
Gerald Wyrick was born June 21, 1936 in Kunkle, Ohio to the late Estel Wyrick and the late Lura Borton Wyrick. He married Patsy Smith Wyrick on July 26, 1985 and she survives in Paris. Gerald is also survived by daughter, Linda (Kevin) McCellan of Edgerton, Ohio; sons, Randy (Rhonda) Wyrick of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, Christopher (Pam) McKennie of Paris, and Jeffrey (Karen) McKennie of Harvest, Alabama; by five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Estel (Mary Ellen) Wyrick, Jr. of Edon, Ohio and Duane (Phyllis) Wyrick of Sandusky, Ohio; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Besides his parents, Mr. Wyrick is also preceded in death by one grandchild; his sister, Leola Merillat; and by his brothers, Robert and Ed Wyrick.
Gerald enjoyed clocks, classic cars, and sitting out on the deck watching his horses, Lady and Skipper. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan who dearly loved his family and most especially his grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
