Geraldine Baker

Geraldine "Gerri" Baker, a beacon of light, laughter, and love, passed away on January 20, 2026. Born in Tallmadge, Ohio, on January 24, 1953, to Robert and Hildegarde Morgart, Gerri was a woman of many hats - a loving wife, caring mother, doting grandmother, thoughtful sister, and a generous friend. Gerri's infectious laughter and heartwarming generosity illuminated every room she entered. She had a unique gift of making everyone feel special and loved. Her thoughtful nature was evident in her dedication to her family, whom she cherished above all else.

Gerri worked as an office manager at Camp Pinecliffe, a private summer camp for girls. She retired in 2020, after serving with passion and commitment. Her vibrant summers in Maine and her life in Croton, Ohio, were filled with joyous memories and valuable life experiences. Gerri tied the knot with her beloved husband, Joel Baker, on May 30, 1991. Their life together was a beautiful testament to their unwavering love and mutual respect. Gerri leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. She is survived by her husband Joel, daughter Lisa (Chris) Hibbitt, grandson Jasen Dean, sisters Kathy (Dale) Ankrom, Barbara (Bob) Smith, Deb (Tim) Austin, brothers Jim (Denise), Bob (Steve) , and Ron (Brenda) Morgart, and brother-in-law John (Linda) Baker, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Hildegarde Morgart, sisters Laura Hall, Jackie Carnahan, Lynda Morgart, nephews Dylan Stone and Zach Hall, and in-laws Richard and Donna Baker, and Jasen Baker.

Gerri's life was a series of heartfelt moments, filled with laughter, generosity, and love. Her memory will continue to inspire and uplift all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
