Geraldine Bickler

Geraldine Bickler, 96, of Keyport, New Jersey, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Arnold Walter Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Holmdel, New Jersey. She was born in Newark, New Jersey, on November 10, 1928. She met and later married the love of her life, William Bickler, on September 16, 1951. Along with her family, they moved to Hazlet, New Jersey in 1957. Geraldine retired from Maple Place Pre School, Keyport, New Jersey, where she enjoyed working as a teacher's aide. She was very fond of spending time at, Hazlet Senior Center, Keyport Senior Citizen Center and the Union Beach Senior Center. She had a talent for both knitting and crocheting and was known to be an avid reader.
Geraldine was predeceased by her beloved husband of sixty years, William Bicker on March 15, 2012. She is survived by her loving children, William Bickler and his wife Linda of Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey and her daughter Susan Ellis and her husband Jeff of Keyport, New Jersey, her caring sister, Anna Larson of Freehold, New Jersey, her cherished grandchildren, David Ellis and his wife Lindsey of Virginia, Stephanie Ellis of Florida, Neil Bickler of Colorado and Sarah Bickler of Texas, her adoring great grandchildren. Logan Ellis, Ryker Ellis, Bronson Ellis and Kenna Farris. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. Geraldine will be forever loved, greatly missed and never forgotten.
In respect of Geraldine's wishes, she will be privately cremated. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 60 Maple Place, Keyport, New Jersey 07735. Pastor Matt Thiringer will be officiating.
