GERALDINE C. "Gerri" CHOJNICKI, (nee Repinski), age 95, of Broadview Heights, entered into eternal rest on September 3, 2025. She was born on October 12, 1929, to parents John and Stella Repinski (nee Koprowski). Gerri had 3 siblings Jerome, Raymond, and Marie (Shirley) (all deceased). Gerri married Edmund J. Chojnicki (deceased), on May 29, 1950. Ed and Gerri built a wonderful life of 50 years together before Ed's passing in 2001 with the majority of their marriage residing in Broadview Heights. They were parishioners and very involved at Assumption Church. Gerri was a member and President of the Altar and Rosary Society for many years. Ed and Gerri raised 4 children. Gerri was a loving wife and mother. She was devoted to being a homemaker and loved doing it. She was an excellent and creative cook and wonderful hostess. Gerri and Ed hosted many gatherings at their home and Gerri provided all the food. Whether it was hosting church bridge games, or family events their home was always open and people invited in. You knew the gathering was going to have great food, great conversation, and fun. Gerri loved golfing, bowling, and bridge. Gerri had many trophies from her hobbies. Ed and Gerri loved traveling and one of their highlights was being able to go and stay in Poland for a few months. After Ed's passing, Gerri had to carve out a new life. She took a job at TJ Maxx for a few years and then met a wonderful friend from Assumption, Joe Bolta. Gerri and Joe spent 12 years together enjoying each other's companionship until his passing in 2019. Gerri's final years were visiting with children and grandchildren. Gerri will be remembered for her laughter, she was always smiling, and life never bothered her. She always said, "Que Sera, Sera, what will be, will be." Gerri is survived by her loving children- Susanna Weiss-Lokos (Allan), Edmund (Patricia), Michael (Karen), and John (Holly); grandchildren- Samantha, Stephen, Ann, John, Mark, Megan, Turner, and Ada; great-grandchildren- Max, Brooklyn, Stella, Vivien, Hannah, and Harlow. Gerri is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Gerri loved all her family.
