A Funeral Mass for Geraldine E. Pashen, of Morris, will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, July 19, 2024 at Assumption Catholic Church in Morris with Father Todd Schneider officiating. Visitation will be held at Pedersen Funeral home in Morris on Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Morris.
Geraldine Edna (Foss) Pashen was born on January 15, 1927, to Gilbert and Martha (Lokensgard) Foss in Revere, MN. She grew up in Lamberton, MN, then later moved to Alberta, MN, where she attended school and graduated.
She was united in marriage to Robert David Pashen on October 20th, 1947. To this union, five children were born: Thomas, Gwen, Julie, Janet, and Randy.
Geraldine was a homemaker while raising her family. In later years she worked at the Sears Catalog Store until her retirement.
She enjoyed mission work, preparing funeral meals for her church families, volunteering for the American Cancer Society, Women’s V.F.W. Auxiliary, and helping at the West Wind Village. She so enjoyed caring for her grandchildren. She loved making chocolate chip cookies for them and always had some in the freezer, ready for their next visit. Other hobbies include attending school activities and playing card games with family during winter snow storms. She took many trips with family to Hawaii, Florida, and Arizona. She was a faithful daily walker at the RFC, becoming a member of the 500-mile club.
Geraldine died Saturday, July 13, 2024, at West Wind Village in Morris. She was 97 years old.
Geraldine is survived by two of her five children: Janet (Steve) Sauter, and Randy (Cindy) Pashen; daughter-in-law: Barb Pashen-Schubert; sons-in-law: Charles Smith, and Dennis Kieffer; grandchildren: Mark (Lynda) Pashen, Randy Stillwell, Christopher (Special friend Brenda) Pashen, Stacey (Jerry) Vetch, Corey (Karla) Smith, Isaac Kieffer, Joshua (Beth) Kieffer, Misty (Darrik) Siegel, Dustin (Sarah) Sauter, Brock (Jennie) Pashen, David (Sarah) Pashen, and Casey Pashen; great-grandchildren: Garrett, Kyle, Katherine, Grace, Kazia, Zach, Eli, Maci, Tabitha, Zach, Brynnlee, Josie, Nora, Wesley, Greta, Hadlie, Beckett, Landon, and Alexis; great-great-grandchildren: Kenzlee, and Rielly; brother-in-law: Jerry (Jolene) Pashen.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert; son: Thomas Pashen; daughters: Gwen Smith, and Julie Kieffer; granddaughter: Michelle Stillwell; sisters: Audrey, Faye, Belle; brothers: Homer, Maurice, and Don; and sister-in-law: Shirley.
Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in care of arrangements for Geri.
