Geraldine Reynolds, 82 of Malvern, passed away on September 29, 2024. Geraldine was born March 30, 1942, in North Malvern, to Loy Nix and Verna Norwood Nix. She worked 25 years as a nurse in nursing homes and hospitals including Saline Memorial Hospital where she met and made many lifetime friends.
Geraldine had many God given talents that she loved to share including singing and playing guitar at the Benton Senior Center along with her love for playing piano for the Baptist churches she attended. She and her sister Karen used to go to the Malvern Radio Station and sing live on the radio when they were young. She was of Baptist faith and taught Vacation Bible School when her children were young which led to their Salvation and Baptism as well.
Preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, Charlie and Ola Henson Nix and Harvey and Eunice Burch Norwood, sister, Karen Nix Hohrine and half-sister, Veronica Mitchell McConnell.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Bobbie Dean Reynolds, Sr. and their two children, Bobby Dean Reynolds, Jr (Melissa) and Sheila Reynolds Bailey (Marti). Four grandchildren, Misti, Katie, Kayla, Clayton, and eleven great grandchildren. Geraldine has two living half-sisters, Beverly Mitchell West and Angela Mitchell along with two half-brothers, Charles Nix and Tommy Smith. Along with many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.
Pallbearers: Clayton Reynolds, Austin Price, Heath Ring, Jordan Griffin, Jason Riggan, Blake Phillips, and Brent Walton.
Honorary Pallbearer: James West
Visitation will be held on Saturday October 5, 2024, starting at 10:00 AM at Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel, with services beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Rockport Cemetery in Malvern, Arkansas. Online condolences can be made at www.atkinsonfuneralhome.net
