Geraldine Ross Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bradbury Memorial Center - Lake Havasu City on Feb. 16, 2026.
Geraldine M Ross, 84, of Lake Havasu City, AZ died at home on Sunday, February 15, 2026. She was born in Pittsfield, MA on May 9, 1941, the daughter of the late Edward J. and Agnes Kushi McDonald. She was a 1958 graduate of St. Joseph's High School and worked as a paralegal for over 40 years at Drennan Law Offices. After retiring, Jeri (as she preferred to be called) moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona to escape the cold winters of the Berkshires.

She found joy in the simple pleasures of life and had a sharp, curious mind that remained active through her love of Scrabble, crossword puzzles, and Sudoku. An avid reader, she was rarely without a good book nearby. She enjoyed movies and looked forward to watching the Academy Awards every year, always eager to share her opinions on the winners and surprises. She was also a fan of the Kentucky Derby, drawn to the tradition, pageantry, and the thrill of the race. Travel brought her great happiness, and she treasured her two trips to Ireland, where she created lasting memories.

She is survived by her two daughters, Jennifer (and Chris) Rolando of Lake Havasu City, AZ, and Samantha Ross (and Rob Lander) of Crestline, CA, five grandchildren, Victoria Rolando (and Joe Lomberto) of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Nicholas Rolando (and Christopher Metz) of Marlborough, MA, Jacob (and Madilynn) Rolando of Tucson, AZ, and Leo and Jude Lander of Crestline, CA, two great grandchildren, Emmie and Tyler Gordon of Lake Havasu City, AZ. She is also survived by her sisters, Kathleen Herman of Richmond, RI, Mary Ellen Florczyk of Columbus, GA, Stephanie Case of Washington, MA, Mary Jo McLaughlin of Danielson, CT, her brother Matthew McDonald of Ormond Beach, FL, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Michael McDonald.

A graveside service and Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Pittsfield, MA.

Donations can be made in her name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, an organization that was very dear to her.
