Geraldine C. Settles

Geraldine C. Settles, born on July 13, 1938, in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, peacefully departed this life on December 2, 2024. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was filled with love, creativity, and cherished family traditions.

As a mother, Geraldine took immense pride in raising her children – Clarence (Therese) Settles, Michael Settles, and Cindy (Mark) Miller. Her nurturing spirit extended to her grandchildren, Christina, Cathrine (Brandon), Chaz, Michelle (Ben), Mark Jr. (Jodie), and Samantha (Charlie), as well as her great-grandchildren, Skylar, Shealyn, Peyton, Ava, and Lucas. Each of them was a shining star in her life, and she found joy in their accomplishments and happiness.

Geraldine is preceded in death by her loving husband, Houston J.B. Settles, who left a profound impact on her life, and her parents, Clarence and Viola Lobaugh. She also mourned the loss of her grandson, Michael Settles. Their memories remained a cherished part of her legacy.

Throughout her life, Geraldine had a talent for bringing joy to others. She loved to paint by numbers, a hobby that showcased her artistic flair and patience. In the kitchen, she found her rhythm in baking and cooking, creating delightful meals and treats that brought family and friends together. Her kitchen was often filled with laughter and love as she shared her culinary creations.

The celebration of Geraldine’s life will take place at Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home Delhi, located at 4619 Delhi Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45238. Visitation will be held on December 6, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by a funeral service on Saturday, December 7, 2024, starting at 12:00 PM. She will then be laid to rest at St. Joseph New Cemetery at 4500 Foley Road, Cincinnati, OH 45238, with interment scheduled for 12:30 PM.

Geraldine C. Settles will be remembered for her warmth, nurturing nature, and the countless memories she created with her family. Her spirit will continue to thrive through the love she imparted and the lives she touched.
