Geraldine M. (Stowell) Davis, 93, of Baldwinville, passed away peacefully in her sleep at UMass in Worcester on November 21, 2025.
Born in Winchendon, MA, on January 18, 1932. As the Matriarch of the family she was a beacon of warmth and tenderness, her heart always guiding her towards helping others, evident in her most fulfilling job as a Home Health Aide.
What mattered most to Geraldine was her family. She was a loving and supportive mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, always there to uplift and encourage her loved ones. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment she spent with them. As the saying goes, "Family is not an important thing. It's everything."
She enjoyed vacationing throughout the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean. Her favorites were Hawaii and the Grand Canyon.
Geraldine is survived by three of her children, Kathleen Davis of Baldwinville, Julie Hoover (with Mark Mason) of Gardner, and Robert Davis (with Julien Plante) of California.
She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren: Aaron LaBonte (Cindy), Ben LaBonte, Candace Hardy (Jon), Danielle Shackelford (Talt), Emily Bullock (Mike), Rachel Gonzalez, Amy Buzzell (Jim), Bonnie Mailman, Ken Hoover, and Lillian Bottcher. Her 19 great-grandchildren, Hollie, Kara, Jaxon, Chrissy, Nathan, David, Karena, Gabby, Dom, Dice, Nel, Alex, Tony, Lolo, Izzy, Jonas, Trent, Lucas, and Hannah; and four great-great-grandchildren Ryder, Benji, Max and Sayge.
She was preceded in death by her husband George R. Davis in 1998 after 48 years of marriage, and by her son Matthew P. Davis in 2012. Also by her parents, Harry and Mary (Berard) Stowell, her brothers Donald and Jimmy, and sisters Arlene, Irene and Frankie. Each member of her family held a special place in her heart. Her memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
