Back in 1997-1999 I was a nursing assistant at Wolfson. I would float to different units and on Saturdays I would work on 2 west until the 23 hour observation T&A´s and cleft palate repairs were discharged. Often I would work with Geri. She was the nurse manager in POPS and would pick up extra shifts on Saturdays to do direct patient care to keep her skills up. She was an awesome nurse who loved to teach and me being a nursing student would soak it all in. Everyone who knew her loved her!!!! Fast forward to 2002 and after being a nurse on 4 Wolfson for 2 years, she brought me to the sedation team working directly for her until she retired. I am the nurse I am today because of Geri. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. We will miss her dearly!!!

Geri was always smiling, always cheerful and positive. I will feel forever blessed to have known and loved her. She taught me so much as we grew to be trusted colleagues.
Geri's name will not be remembered by her years as a nurse, but by the difference she made during those years stepping into people's lives ... by special moments.

I have so many wonderful memories of Geri, her smile , her laugh and unconditional care for everyone stranger or friend. She will be so missed and a hole left by her humanity. We are planting a new garden and will be planting a passion flower in red and name her Geri..... love to all her family, she will never be forgotten by her Wolfson Peeps.
