Geraldine Vaughan

Geraldine Ruth Vaughan, age 83 of Republic, Missouri, passed away on the evening of March 13, 2024, in her home with family by her side. She was born September 26, 1940, at home in Ozark, Missouri, the daughter of Oren and Eva (Hale) Vaughan.
Despite never being married, Geraldine embraced her role as a caregiver in all aspects of her life. She was a nurses aide at Fremont Manor in Springfield for over 30 years, caring for countless people in her lifetime. Geraldine was a faithful Christian attending as a dedicated member of Grace Apostolic in Nixa. She shared her faith with love and enthusiasm by instilling important values in the hearts of all who attended her Sunday School Class. The impact of Geraldine's dedication and prayers continue to live on in the lives of the children she once taught in her Sunday School Classes. As these children have grown into adults, they carry the lessons she instilled upon them. She has been a faithful Christian all of her life and was a member of Grace Apostolic Church, Nixa, Missouri
She was preceded in death by her parents Oren and Eva (Hale) Vaughan, and a niece Anita Louise. Geraldine is survived by her sister, Shirley Bush and her husband David of Strafford, Missouri and her nieces Christy Hensley and her husband John, Mary Rodriguez of Strafford, Missouri and many other relatives and caring friends.
Funeral services for Geraldine will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 18, 2024 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. Monday until service time in the funeral home. Online condolences may be shared at www.barnesfamilyfunerals.com.
