Geraldine Willis

Geraldine Willis was born on September 08, 1937, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Christopher and Osie (Gunnels) Trude. She was raised in Tulsa and attended local schools before graduating from Jenks High School. On April 07, 1961, Geraldine was united in marriage to Dwight Willis in Tulsa. She and Dwight enjoyed a lifetime of activities together, including camping and motorcycle travel. Geraldine enjoyed doing various arts and crafts, bird watching, and especially being with her family.
Geraldine was always busy. She owned the first H&R Block location in Vinita, and also had locations in Grove and Nowata. Geraldine, along with her sister, decided to attend vo-tech and learn the art of upholstery. They serviced the needs of many with the skills they attained. Having a natural love for people, Geraldine excelled as a saleswoman for House of Lloyd, where she was awarded with several vacations as a result of her success.
Geraldine departed this life at the age of 88, on October 30, 2025, at her home in Big Cabin. She is survived by daughter, Anita Cole and husband Charlie; son, Greg Willis; grandchildren: Michael Hockman, Erin Hockman and her partner, George Moore, John Cole and his wife, Sami, Larisha Cole and her partner, Charlie Hagebusch; eleven great-grandchildren; and sister, Joan Smith.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, Christopher and Osie Trude; husband, Dwight Willis; sisters, Norma Cook and Betty Rowan; as well as brother, Leon Trude.
