Geraldine Yaider Obituary
Geraldine was born June 27, 1949, in Cumberland, MD. She was the daughter of the late Jerald and Jeannetta Barrett. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Kathleen Herath and Janice Leister; brother, James "Moe" Barrett; and nephew, Alan Leister, II.
She is survived by her son, Daniel Yaider; brothers-in-law, John Herath and Alan Lesiter, I; sister-in-law, Judith Barrett; nieces, Alyssa Bartlett, Shania Emerick, and Michelle Barrett; nephews, Shawn Lesiter, Chris Herath, James Barrett, II, Josh Barrett, and James "Jimmy" Barrett, III.
Gerri graduated from Allegany High School, class of 1968. She enjoyed taking care of her dog, Buffy. Geraldine retired from Sheetz on Virginia Avenue, Cumberland.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland, on Sunday, January 9, 2022, from 2 to 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Allegany County Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 566 Cumberland, MD 21501-0566, and/or to the Mineral County Humane Society, Hc 84 Box 12, Keyser, WV 26726.
