Collins, Gerard J. 65 of West Warwick died peacefully at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Boston, with his family at his side on Sunday, October 5, 2025.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Gerard W. and Anna (Gargaro) Collins. He was employed as a mechanic in his early adult years and later self-employed in home improvement.
Gerard is survived by his sister Denise Lopardo (Kenneth), his brother Michael (Maria), his nephews Kenneth, James (Gina Iannucci) and Nicholas Lopardo, Matthew Collins and Nickolas Fiorillo, and great-nephew James Lopardo Jr. He leaves many special aunts, cousins and friends, especially Phil and Anne Levesque, Joseph Micheletti Jr, and treasured cousin Joseph Calabro Jr.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. at Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers contributions in Gerard’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
