Gerard E. Fuess

Gerard E. Fuess, 89, passed away June 24, 2025 at The Masonic Care Community of New York. He was a former resident of New York Mills and New Hartford, New York.
He was born on August 11, 1935 in Utica, New York, the son of Edward Fuess and Helen Stuber Fuess. He graduated from New Hartford Central School and Cornell University.
Jerry married the former Janet Steinhorst on September 14, 1957. He began his career at Bendix and later Univac. In 1969, He and his wife moved to Red Hill Road and founded The Mum Farm, which grew from Jan's hobby of growing hardy garden mums. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, two daughters, Shelley Corey and Lori Banks, both of New Hartford, four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff of the Erie household for all their care and compassion while he was a resident.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no calling hours and a private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
