Gerard William Keimer

Gerard "Jerry" W. Keimer of Somerdale, a man of amazing words, unexplainable intelligence, and a heart unmeasured, passed away suddenly on January 5, 2026 at the age of 59.
He was a Beloved son of Helen Keimer and the late Gerard R. Keimer. Loving husband of Janine Keimer (nee Arrigale). Devoted father to Nicole R. Keimer, Lauren A. Keimer, Ryan M. Keimer and the late Gerard A. Keimer. Beloved brother to Lisa Lardani (James), Matthew Keimer, Jennifer Hetherington (Richard), and brother-in-law to John Arrigale (Sandra) and Carl Arrigale (Denise), and son in law to the late Marlene and Carl Arrigale. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Jerry was an Assistant Professor at Thomas Jefferson University and a member of The ARRT. He received his Masters Degree in Education in 2022 and was so proud to be a Professor. He loved teaching, sharing his knowledge to the world, and his students were a great joy in his life. Outside of the classroom, you could find him fixing everything around the house, behind the DJ booth, on the beach with his family, at the casino with his wife, or cracking horrible jokes no one laughed at harder than him. His smile was infectious and his laughter could fill the whole room. Jerry's presence alone was enough to make anyone feel special.
Above all, Jerry was a devoted family man. He loved his wife Janine more than anything and they were inseparable. You rarely found one without the other, and their marriage was a beautiful example of true love. He adored his children and they reciprocated that love so loudly. The love he filled their home with will live on forever.
There will be a viewing on Sunday, January 11, 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Monday, January 12, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE.
Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Agnes Church, 701 Little Gloucester Rd, Blackwood, NJ 08012.
Interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Chews Landing.
