Gerard Joseph Langlois, affectionately known as Gerry, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025, at Majestic Care of Fairfield in Fairfield, Ohio. Born on July 25, 1947, in Lowell, Massachusetts, Gerry lived a life full of warmth, laughter, and unwavering love for his family.
Gerry built a successful career as an economic forecaster in the telecommunications sector, where he applied his keen analytical mind and insight to navigate the complexities of the industry. His professional accomplishments were matched only by his devotion to his family. Gerry was not just a devoted husband and father; he was also a proud grandfather. He cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, Nicholas and Samantha Wagner, and relished the joy they brought into his life.
As a person, Gerry was known for his easy-going nature and his good sense of humor, making him a beloved figure among those who had the pleasure of knowing him. He had a unique ability to connect with people, and his friendly demeanor endeared him to many. His love for history and reading enriched his conversations, and his passion for sports often led him to a comfortable chair, cheering for his favorite teams.
In addition to his family and career, Gerry dedicated time to volunteering for the Democratic Party, reflecting his commitment to civic engagement and community involvement. His passion for public service was evident, and he sought to make a positive impact on the lives of those around him.
Gerry is survived by his son, Tom Langlois; daughter, Michelle (Marc) Wagner; daughter, Nicolle (Greg) Langlois; and son Maurice Langlois, and his sister Gloria Marion. His memory will also be cherished by his grandchildren, Nicholas and Samantha Wagner, along with several nieces and nephews who were fortunate to know him.
He was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Anne (nee Bryan) Langlois; his father, Maurice Langlois and his mother, Delores (nee Matte) Langlois.
Gerry Langlois’ legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew him. He leaves behind a family who will forever hold him in their hearts and honor his memory in their daily lives.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his memory to Alzheimer's Association.
