Gerard Ruth Sr. Obituary
Gerard Joseph Ruth Sr., 80, was born on December 25, 1942, and died on Wednesday, December 13, 2023. Mr. Ruth was a native of New Orleans and lived in Gretna for 31 years.
Gerard had a love of animals, fishing and hunting. He was an active member of the NRA.
Mr. Ruth is preceded in death by his parents Earl W. Ruth and Lilly Rumore Ruth.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Migliore Ruth, his sons Gerard Jr (Mercy) and Stephen (Sarai), his brother Earl W. Ruth Jr., his grand children Christian and Bella Ruth, and his step-grandchildren Yailyn, Yamilet and Yarely.
The family will receive friends Saturday, December 16th from 11:30 A.M. until 1:30 P.M. at Mothe Funeral Home Harvey, 2100 Westbank Expressway. A Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 P.M. in the Chapel with interment to follow in Westlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements by Mothe Funeral Home.
