Deacon-Elect Gerardo Antonio Luciano Lucca, 58, passed away from this life to his eternal rest at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford, CT., on January 9, 2025. Born April 15, 1966, to Pedro Luciano and Gladys Lucca in Ponce, Puerto Rico.
Gerardo moved to Springfield, Massachusetts, as a child with his family and attended Springfield Public Schools. He later started work as an Auto Mechanic, a trade he loved dearly. He did this for many years making friends and lifelong clients.
He met and married the love of his life, Idaliz Luciano and settled into joining church life. His relationship with God was important to him and they joined Glory of God Ministries in Springfield. He was a very faithful member and was to become a Licensed Deacon in March 2025.
He was predeceased by his parents and his older brother, Ramon Luciano. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Idaliz Luciano, his sisters, Mildred Luciano, Mary Tosado, Luz Luciano, Evett Quiles and Janet Rosado. His brothers, Jose Rosado, William Luciano and Hector Luciano.
He is survived by his children, Gerardo Luciano, Yahayra Luciano, Pedro Luciano (Sasha), Moises Luciano (Lisa), Israel Luciano, Kayla Luciano, Isabella Baez (Sheyna), Jerilyn Luciano, Alexander Mercado (Johelia), Raul Mercado and Arelis McClure (George).
His legacy of 25 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. His neighbors and lifelong clients will miss him dearly.
The family wishes to thank Glory of God Ministries, St. Francis Hospital, Hartford, CT., and Puerta Del Cielo® Funeral Home for their kindness during this time.
