Obituary of James Marshal Luciano

Luciano, James Marshal, 87, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025, in Denver, Colorado.

Jim was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He served in the Army and then attended the University of Illinois in Champaign where he earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. Later he moved to Michigan where he met and married his wife, Sherry.

Jim received a promotion and moved to Colorado. He knew immediately this was the right place for him and his family where they could spend the rest of their lives. Colorado offered everything, wonderful weather, exploration, camping, and a great football team.

Jim loved helping people and channeled his compassion by volunteering as a firefighter and earning qualifications to become an EMT.

In his free time Jim loved to watch football, complete cross word puzzles and go out to eat every once in a while.

Jim was loved by all who knew him. He will be remembered for his honesty and sincerity and will be dearly missed by many great friends, his wife Sherry, his dog and his two cats.

A Memorial Service will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery in the near future. Details for the service will be updated here as soon as they are confirmed.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jim's honor to Food For Thought, Denver.
