Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Geri Shaw passed away Thursday, June 13, 2024 due to complications of the cancer she was courageously fighting. She is survived by her children, Nicki and Asa; their father, Mike Shaw; her mother, Loretta Spalding; her sister, Rose (Rob) Oudejans; her brothers Tom (Renee) Spalding and Mark (Karen) Spalding; and countless more family and friends. She was proceeded in death by her father, Joseph Spalding and her sister, Tina (David) Richter. Born in Aurora, IL, Geri grew up in Rockledge, FL enjoying the Indian River with her siblings and friends. She attended St. Mary's Catholic School, Rockledge High School, Brevard Community College, and University of Central Florida, where she earned her Bachelor degree in nursing. She was an outstanding psychiatric nurse of 35 years. She was an amazing listener, always fair-minded and objective. Geri was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and more. She will be remembered for her kindness, her resilience, and most of all, her quick sense of humor.A celebration of Geri's life will take place Friday June 21, 2024 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with viewing from 11:00 to 12:00. Mass to follow at 12:00 noon. A celebration of life will be held at Rockledge Country Club beginning at 1:30.
