In Loving Memory of Gerri Sue Berkowitz

It is with heavy hearts; the family of Gerri S. Berkowitz announces her passing on December 7, 2025. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Her daughter Nicole “Nikki” and her grandchildren; Alexis, Diamond, Javonne, Stormie, and Kaidence were her greatest joy, along with her great-grandchildren; Valentine and Rosalie.

Gerri is survived by her sisters; Lena, Betty and Jeanie, brother; Marty, and many nieces and nephews who adored her. She also leaves behind her beloved fur baby Blue who was her loyal companion, and who brought her comfort and happiness.

Gerri will be remembered as someone who never met a stranger. She made everyone feel welcomed whether it was into her home or her front porch. She could light up a room with her humor and warmth. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life such as grilling out, sitting by the fire, playing raffles, casino trips and simply being surrounded by those she loved the most including pets.

Gerri’s absence will leave an ache that can’t be filled. Her spirit will live on in the laughter she inspired and the kindness and love she freely gave. She loved deeply, and in return was loved deeply. Gerri’s family will continue to cherish the beautiful memories she left them with and take comfort in knowing she is at peace.
