Gerry Bowditch Obituary
Gerry was born on March 4, 1928, into the very large family of James Harvey Price and Mayme (Byrd) Price. She was the 15th of 20 children who resided in Reading, MI. She was a hard worker on their family farm, especially when her 7 brothers left home to fight in World War II. All of her siblings have passed away except for her sister Elinor, whom she loved dearly and talked with daily.
Gerry was preceded in passing by her husband, Neil; daughter-in-law, Lilly Bowditch and her 18 siblings.
She is survived by her children, Larry Bowditch, Greg (Sherry) Bowditch, and Kathy (Steve) Krummrey; her grandchildren, David (Meredith) Krummrey, Brent (Sara) Bowditch, Cindy Krummrey, Sarah (Kenny) Tripp, Adam (Sarah) Bowditch, Brandon Bowditch, and Doug (Amanda) Krummrey and 14 great-grandchildren.
Gerry met Neil at church in 1947. They were married on September 24, 1948, and moved to Jackson, Michigan. The morning after their wedding they attended Ganson Street Baptist Church for the first time. Her final attendance will also be in that same church.
Gerry was blessed with the gift of storytelling to her grandchildren and also to her Sunday School children for over 25 years. She loved to play games and often beat her family and friends at the ripe old age of 96. She was a fervent prayer warrior and never failed to get on her knees every night to pray for her family, friends, and neighbors.

Gerry's family will receive friends and family on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, from 11:00am until the time of the service at 12:00pm at Ganson Street Baptist Church, 637 W. Dear Larry, Sarah, Adam and the entire family,
Sending my most sincere condolences to you and the entire family on the passing of your beloved mother/grandmother.
When I think of Mrs. Bowditch, I think of a kind, warm, loving, generous woman. Always friendly and so welcoming even if I only had the pleasure of being in her company a small handful of times.
My thoughts are with you all during this difficult time.
