Gerry Sarconi Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 30, 2025.
Geraldine "Gerry" Mona Sarconi, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and spirited member of every community she touched, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 12, 2025.

Born on April 7, 1942, in Longmont, Colorado, to Ray and Margaret Nelson, Gerry's life was marked by resilience, generosity, and unwavering love. She graduated from Colorado State University in 1964. In 1965, she married the love of her life, Anthony J. "Tony" Sarconi, beginning a partnership that would span six decades.

Gerry is survived by her husband of 60 years, Anthony "Tony" J. Sarconi; daughter Rae An Cornell (Russell); granddaughters Casie McManus (Billy), Danielle Paquet (Preston), Lauren Weiland (Ross); daughter Brenda Sarconi and granddaughter Megan Fitchett; and seven great-grandchildren: Jaiden, Zoey, Damien, Zander, Ember, Fisher, and Ridge. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and cherished friends near and far.

She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Debra Marie Sarconi, who passed away in early childhood (1971-1973). Her memory remained a quiet but enduring presence in her heart throughout her life.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Bede's Episcopal Church in Santa Fe, New Mexico

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Woodlands Senior Care, the caregivers at Assisted Living Cottages, and Devotion Hospices for their remarkable compassion and commitment.
